vFone Overview

Vitendo’s vFone is a comprehensive offering targeted to Mobile Operators supporting IMS/VCC, Generic Access (GA) (aka UMA) , or Voice over LTE via GA (VoLGA).

Ideal for nomadic users like business users, students etc, the vFone increases services ‘sticky-ness’ by providing single identity, ease of use and familiar user interface. Operators can now deliver voice calls, messaging and presence on laptops, mobile internet devices and offer their users a credible alternatives to other widely available public VoIP offerings. By bundling vFone with their existing convergence offerings i.e. Femtocells or terminal adaptors, service providers can extend service offering in locations with poor 2G/3G coverage or to users, not having a dedicated a mobile terminal, all without incurring a capex hit.

Architectured from ground up, keeping mobile service providers’ requirement in mind, vFone is built upon proven, field deployed components and provides comprehensive suite of protocols to manage security, mobility, and media.
